Holiday so far.
Hello hello!
I've been neglecting this blog for nearly 3 weeks I know :( I think I may have lost the will to blog. I mean, there has not been anything much to blog about anyway lately.
So in brief, my holiday has been:
- Life changing.
- A tad stressful.
- Fun filling.
So yea, the answer to the question everyone seems to b asking me lately:
Q: U guys really broke up?!
A: Yes :P
Q: Who gets the dogs?
A: He does -.-
Now that that's cleared, over the holidays I've been spending a lot of time
Recently I came back to KK for a brief holiday, that was suppose to be 3 days long, which I somehow extended to slightly more than a week.
Have been hanging out a lot with old friends, and I just find it very funny, when you actually sit down with these people who you never in your life imagined you'd still be friends with after all this while, and just reminisce about the good old days.
I feel old -.-
It's like a decade ago, we were catching tadpoles, playing chase, and just started to learn how to swear (only to get mouth soaped -.-), and now everyone's talking about politics, and careers, and going clubbing legally (I think, the legal age is 18, right?).
Life changes, fast. To be honest sometimes I can barely keep up.
But yeah, this week has been one of the most relaxing and fun weeks I've had since a long long time. And it was just what I needed :)
Anyhoos, picture post will be up tomorrow (if I'm not drop dead exhausted), til then, ta for now! :)

Halloween
No, I don't have any skanky pics of me dressed up for Halloween cause I didn't celebrate it, maybe next year though, lol.
For Halloween I just had a sleepover with my bestie! Was so awesome getting together again after nearly a year of no proper girl time!
Basically we just spent the whole day shopping, swimming, and talking (A LOT)!
Today is the second week of my holidays, and I'm just chillin' at home, waiting for all my loans to be settled so that I can finally move into my new house!! (Though it seems to be taking forever @_@).
So not motivated to do anything, lol.
Gonna continue hibernating now, ta!

DIY - Stuff to do with old t-shirts.
I'm not exactly a huge pro when it comes to anything that involves DIY and crafts/arts. But today as I was clearing out my closet, I realized that I had a LOT of unwanted T-shirts lying around in there.
I used to be a T-shirt and jeans type of person, but that phase kinda faded out after my body got outta shape (esp in the tummy and hips department), so yeah, no more tight fitting T's and jeans for me :'(
Also, don't you hate it when the collars of your T-shirts get all loose and stuff? I don't know about you guys but I really hate it. Makes it look like some old house T-shirt (which I already have many of).
So yeah, not wanting to throw it all away, I kinda attempted to make it into something else, and this is what I came up with...

Don't laugh

But yeah, this is all I could come out with. Not much "WOW" factor in it, but at least it's something different.
Right?
The problem with this shirt was that the collar started to get all washed up and loose, which is why I choose to do something that could cut away the collar.
This is a close up of the sleeves...
I did this because if I didn't, it would look as though I just cut off the sleeves and stuff which looks really horrid.
So just a brief step by step(for those of u who are interested):
- Get a T-shirt (d'oh)
- Cut off the sleeves, and make sure u cut off the thick curved layer so it won't have strings coming out.
- snip little holes in right next to the side of the collars at the fold line.
- slide in the scissors and cut a V-shape at the front part of the shirt.
- cut the back of the shirt to a U or V shape (up to you) just to rid of the collar.
- scrunch up the one side of the shirt and wrap it with the 'cut-off' material or colourful strings of your choice if any like in the pic below:
-do the same for the other side.
DONE!
Anyway, I know it's not a very good job (or good job at all for some of u high level critiques), but yeah, it's my first time and I'll improve after a few more tries! ;)
Til then, ta for now!
p/s, sorry for the lack of pics, I didn't expect it to work out, nor did I expect to blog about it. LOL. will post more step-by-step pics next time (if it works out).
p/p/s, do comment (whether it's a critic/compliment/tip for me), just wanna know what u think!
Relaxed.
Just got back from dinner half an hour ago, talk about erratic lifestyle timing.
I spent my whole day sleeping today, and I mean, whole day.
Slept at 5AM-12PM,
went to lunch at 12PM and got back at 1PM,
lazed around the house watching series and surfing til 3PM,
and continued sleeping from 3PM-9:30PM.
Hehe.
I don't feel like even doing anything right now, not even changing my blogskins ;)
Yeah that's how lazy I am.
I just wanna sit back and watch continuous seasons of series.
I'm running out soon though :| anyone got any good, non-boring series to recommend?

Holiday!
Been having my finals this whole week and it's finally over!!! OMG I have not felt this relieved in such a long time. Last week was filled with assignment rushing, event report writings, and exams this week but that is all behind me now!!
I just realized that this is my first degree break! Ecstatic much? This time last year I was finishing pre-u and getting all worked up about what major I wanted to head into, and now it's just... relaxing.
For once in a long time, I'm actually having a blank mind. LOL. No worries, no planning, no nothing. Blank. Feels good too!
Rewind a bit and doing some self-reflection on the first year of my degree:
- I've learnt a few extras in the IT field, i.e. front page(yes I never knew how to really work front page before this year), Java (though i still suck at it), and how to draw system diagrams and what not.
- I've learnt that I strive on stress and tend to work better under it -.- many times I've attempted to get a head start on my assignments but when I got stuck when it came to researching, I tend to give up and think like it's the hardest thing to do in the world. But when time comes nearer to the due dates, everything seems to 'suddenly' become easy.
- I've learnt that one should always be assertive and daring to speak up. If someone isn't doing their work properly, tell them. If telling doesn't work, screw them and let them deal with the consequences.
- I've learnt that I should keep to myself more. Sticking my nose where it doesn't belong will always get me into trouble.
- I've for the first time since I left high school, I actually got involved in club activities this semester, it felt kinda good. A bit stressful, but overall good :)
And... That's all I can think of for now.
Teehee.
Last Friday we had a committee and helper celebration for the Internation Food Fair's success that was held in our school 2 weeks ago.
It was a BBQ...
where everyone got wet in the end :)
I think that was the most fun I've had since I've came to KL (excluding fun obtained thru gaming). Have not just hung out and chilled like that in a LOOOONG time.
So yeah, gonna maybe watch some series now while job searching. Am trying to scrunch up moolah to buy myself a tablet and DSLR (maybe).
WISH ME LUCK! :)
Ta for now.
